Obituary of Horace Princenthal

Horace J. Princenthal, 87 of Parkhouse Providence, formerly of Douglassville, died October 24th in Parkhouse Providence Pointe. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Rudolph and Mary (Prince) Princenthal. He was pre deceased in death by two brothers, Gerald and Philip Princenthal, one sister, Alice Princenthal. Mr. Princenthal was a 1939 graduate of Pottstown High School, and a veteran of World War II US Army serving in the European Theater in Japan. He was a member of Congregation Mercy and Truth Synagogue of Pottstown where he revitalized the Jewish war veteran's display. Mr. Princenthal was a co owner and operator of former Midway Candy Co of Pottstown. Surviving are two sisters, Frances Princenthal, and Josephine Charnoff both of Reading, PA. Also surviving are Nieces and Nephews. Graveside services will be held on Sunday at 1:00 pm in Mercy and Truth Cemetery, Pottstown. Rabbi David Wortman, Officiating.
