Obituary of Margaret J. Biegel

Margaret “Meg” Jane (Smalley) Biegel, 46, of Chester Springs, PA, formerly of Loveland, CO, passed away on January 18, 2023. She was the wife of Dale Biegel, with whom she shared 13 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, on September 21, 1976, Meg was the daughter of Richard H. Smalley and Jane A. (Mortensen) Corey, and the stepdaughter of Dr. Donald Corey.

Meg received her B.S. in Psychology from Penn State University in 1998, her MBA from Saint Joseph’s University in 2006, and her B.S. in Nursing from Mount Carmel College of Nursing in 2010. She spent most of her career working for the Campbell Soup Company and in various nursing positions in Colorado and Southeastern, PA. In her spare time, Meg loved traveling internationally and she and Dale embarked on several river and ocean cruises. When they weren’t flying internationally or cruising, she and Dale thoroughly enjoyed the trips they made together throughout the US in their travel trailer. She loved any time she could spend outdoors. Most of all, Meg cherished the times she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know her.

Meg is lovingly remembered by her husband, Dale Biegel; her father, Richard Smalley; her mother and stepfather, Jane and Dr. Donald Corey; Dale’s oldest son, Christopher (& Heather) Biegel; her grandchildren, Trevor and Cassidy Biegel; her siblings, Richard (& Angela) Smalley, James (& Andrea) Smalley, and Katie (& David) Brumbelow; and her nieces and nephews, Mason, Liam, Olivia, Alicia, Isaac, and Abigail.
