Frank Petrone

Obituary of Frank J. Petrone

Frank J. Petrone, loving husband and father, passed away suddenly on January 9, 2023, at the age of 55. He was the husband of Keadren D. (Mergen) Petrone, with whom he shared 9 years of marriage.

Born in Westerly, RI, on August 12, 1967, Frank was the son of Dorothy (Walling) Cherenzia and the late Angelo Petrone.

Frank was a talented man who enjoyed writing and drawing. Although these hobbies were important to Frank, his most important and cherished roles were being a dedicated husband and father. His favorite memories came from the time he spent with his family, caring for them, providing for them, and snuggling with them! Beyond all else, Frank was a firm believer in Jesus Christ, and he showed that in his daily life. He was always finding ways to encourage those around him, bless others in need, and be there for those who needed a listening ear. Despite his “rough exterior,” he was a big "teddy bear” who was kind, warm, loving, and caring. Frank will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.

In addition to Keadren, Frank is lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Alaina and Cody Wolfe; his sons, Josiah Petrone and Samuel Petrone; his siblings, Linda Lane, Kathleen Sartor, Michele and Michael Rose, with whom he shared a home for many years, Denise Petrone, Rosanna Omera, Leslie Burdett, and Rachel Rohr; his mother-in-law, Donna Mergen; and many other extended family and friends. In addition to his father, Frank was predeceased by his brothers, Angelo Petrone Jr. and Keith Petrone.

Visitation will take place on January 19, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. at Hope Community Church, 2732 N. Charlotte St., Gilbertsville, PA 19525. A Life Celebration will follow at 5:00 p.m. An invitation-only dinner will be held after the service.
