Obituary of Robert A. Ciaciak Sr.
Robert Alexander Ciaciak Sr., 73, passed away on November 10, 2022, at his home in Stowe, PA, with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Karen Louise (Bliss) Ciaciak, with whom he shared 34 years of marriage.
Born in Pottstown, PA, on February 8, 1949, Bob was the son of the late Andrew and Julie (Tomko) Ciaciak.
Bob graduated from Pottsgrove High School in 1967, and proudly served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1970. He worked for Wagner Electric, the former Tung-Sol Electric, for 20 years. He then found the job he loved most, working as a custodian for Pottsgrove Elementary School; he enjoyed greeting the children each morning. After his retirement, Bob could often be found working outside his home and socializing with neighbors; however, his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Bob is lovingly remembered by his children, Robert A. (& Kelly) Ciaciak, Jr., Jamie R. (& Adam) Stempka, Jentry B. (& Josh) Yorgey, Jenyn M. Schalles, Wade E. (& Melanie) Schalles, Michael G. (& Laura) Ciaciak, and Joshua D. (& Maria) Ciaciak; his grandchildren, to whom he was affectionately known as “PopPop” or “Popsly,” Amanda, Alyssa, Ava, Alaura, Carlton III, Isabella, Isaiah, Farrah, Claire, Matthew, Kolby, Wyatt, Maisy, Nora, Lily, and Mackenzie; his great-grandson, Lorenzo; his sister, Nancy Lehman; and his brother, Leo Ciaciak.
A viewing will take place on November 16, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place after the service with military honors at Highland Memorial Park.
