Obituary of Forrest C. Reimert
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Forrest C. Reimert, 83 of Pottstown, PA widower of Nancy J. Reimert. Forrest passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on April 11th, 2022, at Phoenixville Hospital.
Born in Upper Milford to the late Paul L. Reimert, Sr., and Catherine (Buchay) Reimert, and raised by Alfred R. and Hertha K. (Schumacher) Ehlert on their Hosensack, PA farm.
Forrest served in the US Marine Corps and was always incredibly proud to have been of service to his country. Retired from the Pillsbury Co. in East Greenville and for the last decade has helped to keep things running smoothly at Mike’s Brick Oven Pizza.
A loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His passion and integrity to those he loved was unwavering. Forrest will always be missed by his daughters, Shelly (Scott) of Knoxville, TN, Christine Crater (Michael), of Pottstown; and son H. Scott Reimert (Dorothy), of Bel Air, MD. Sister, Joan Ehlert of Louisiana; half siblings, Elizabeth Gerancher of Jim Thorpe, and William A. Rau of California. Predeceased by siblings, Paul L. Reimert, Jr., Roberta Knappenberger, Gloria Bonenberger, and Allen Reimert.
Forrest was Pop-pop to grandchildren, Zachary Spangenberg, Kristopher Matias, USMC Gunnery Sergeant Jarad Bratz, H. Jacob, Alexander, and Katelyn Reimert, and great-grandchildren Randy and Lillianna Bratz. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved dog Murphy.
Forrest never knew a stranger and always had a way of making you feel welcomed. Anyone that truly knew him was touched by his kindness, humor, and mild temperament. He would do anything for a laugh and roared at a good joke! He loved to cook and when Nancy was alive together, they could cook up a storm!
New Orleans Saints and Penn State football, NASCAR, and beer topped Forrest’s list of passionate interests, followed closely by deep sea fishing, and summer vegetable gardening.
Forrest’s Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be announced. Semper Fidelis!
