As the seasons change, my thoughts often turn to Bob, because of our friendship and careers in education. For about four years I was a colleague of Bob's at Desales University. Following his retirement from East Penn, he began to supervise student teachers, as did I. Together we visited, supervised and, on a weekly basis, taught student teachers. I knew Bob as a friend, not as a colleague. But, he was an absolutely outstanding student teacher supervisor. His interpersonal skills were superb. Ever the professional, Bob provided his teachers support and encouragement. He clearly fostered a positive relationship between the Desales education department and the school district in which the student teachers taught. Bob Misko touched and made better
the lives of so many, not just at Desales, but throughout his educational career.
I'll miss our conversations. Listening to Bob recounting his adventures, discussing politics, education and the world's problems was always a delight, especially over lunch. Bob was a good friend and I'll surely miss him.
