Obituary of Juan M. Vega Jr.
“People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
Juan Martinez Vega Jr., 26, of Pottstown, PA, was welcomed home by our Heavenly Father on July 30, 2021. Born in Pottstown, PA, on March 8, 1995, Juan was the son of Juan Martinez Vega Sr., and Rachel Elaine Oister.
He attended Daniel Boone schools where he proudly wore his Blazers football jersey, #73, throughout the halls. Juan reveled in winning against his Pop-Pop in rounds of chess and competed in competitions in grade school. Following his school years, Juan worked as a construction laborer for companies in the Pottstown area.
All growing up, Juan took a special interest in nature and science. He enjoyed learning about dinosaurs and space, and would often gaze at constellations through his telescope. He mastered the game of frisbee golf and was an avid vocalist - singing any song that came to mind no matter the place, or volume for that matter. Juan had a laugh so contagious, it caused others to erupt in laughter, even if they didn't know what he was laughing about. He was an outdoorsman who loved biking, skipping rocks across the crick, swimming, and ending the day with a campfire reminiscing of old, funny memories. He is Juan Martinez Vega Jr., a wonderful son, father, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend who will be deeply and forever missed.
In addition to his parents, Juan is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Gracie E. Vega; his son, Liam C. Vega; his sister, Ashley R. Oister, and her companion, John G. Roddenberry; his half-siblings, Jordan Vega and Daniel Murray; his grandparents, Doris E. Hee and Ralph E. Oister, and his wife, Joan Taschner-Oister; and many other loving family and friends.
Those who have gone before him include his grandfather, Charles L. Hee Jr.
