Obituary of Sandra J. Arnold-Norris

Sandra “Sandy” Jane (Robbins) Arnold-Norris, 81, of Douglassville, PA, passed away on August 9, 2021, at Berkshire Commons. Sandy was the wife of Russell H. Norris, with whom she shared 34 years of marriage.

 

Born in Muncy Valley, PA, on June 28, 1940, Sandy was the daughter of the late Foster C. “Pete” Robbins and Ruth G. (Montague) Robbins.

 

Sandy was a graduate of West Chester State Teachers College. After teaching for a few years, Sandy became a full-time homemaker. Later Sandy worked for Precision Technology and then taught at KinderCare until retirement. Sandy‘s priority in life was taking care of her family. She loved taking pictures, and her favorite subjects were her family! She loved to travel and was an avid reader. She enjoyed art, hiking, cooking and baking. Sandy was an active member of Temple United Methodist Church, where she served as Financial Secretary for years. She was also a valued participant in United Methodist Women.

 

In addition to her husband, Sandy is lovingly remembered by her children, Keith E. (& Jodi Allison) Arnold, Wernersville, PA, Douglas C. Arnold, Kingston, GA, Cassandra L. (& Dave) Johnson, Douglassville, PA, Todd M. (& Kim) Arnold, Santa Rosa, CA, Jeffrey R. (& Linda) Norris, United Arab Emirates, and Patti A. (& Duane) Huber, Birdsboro, PA; her brother, Carl Robbins; seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, with one more on the way!

 

In addition to her parents, Sandy is predeceased by her sister, Shirley Mae Temple.

 

A viewing will take place on Saturday, August 14, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Temple United Methodist Church, 1390 Unionville Rd., Pottstown, PA 19465. A Life Celebration will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family respectfully requests that all unvaccinated guests wear masks.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandy’s memory to Temple United Methodist Church, 1390 Unionville Rd., Pottstown, PA 19465, or to a charity of your choice.
