Obituary of Donnell Jo DeBoer
Donnell Jo (O’Dell) DeBoer, 57, passed away on May 17, 2021, exactly 35 years after she married her loving husband, John DeBoer, on May 17, 1986. Born in Pottstown, PA, on October 28, 1963, Donnell was the daughter of the late Donald and Janice (Griffith) O’Dell.
Donnell enjoyed kayaking, riding her bike, and traveling to Cape May, NJ. Although these activities brought Donnell joy, her most special memories came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who will miss her deeply.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, John DeBoer; her daughter, Meghan (& Tiyale Sr.) Whitehurst; her son, John DeBoer; her grandchildren, Olivia DeBoer, Jazelle Whitehurst, Tiyale Whitehurst Jr., Noah Whitehurst, Elizabeth Whitehurst, Jackson Whitehurst, and Brayden DeBoer; her siblings, Bonnie (& Jim) Goodhart, Terry (& Tim) Zeneg, Ray (& Debbie) Gasper, Susie (& Faustino) Lugones, and Shawn O’Dell; her aunt, Sharon (& Bennie) Brown; her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and her loyal companion, Bailey.
A viewing will take place on Friday, May 21, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, 60 N. Hanover St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A Life Celebration will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place after the service at Highland Memorial Park, 701 Farmington Ave., Pottstown, PA 19464.
