Obituary of Larry E. Farman
Lawrence “Larry” E. Farman, 64, of North Coventry Twp., passed away on March 18, 2021, at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. He was the husband of the late Terri Ann (Gofus) Farman, who passed on February 12, 2021.
Born in Norristown, PA, on January 19, 1957, Larry was the son of Lawrence “Slim” L. Farman and the late Shirley L. (Stetler) Farman.
Larry graduated from Owen J. Roberts High School, class of 1974. He spent the next 47 years working at Gill Quarries in Norristown. Larry was a dedicated worker; on the job, at home, and in the church. He made it a point to give a piece of himself to anyone who needed it. To his family and friends he was the first call for anyone who needed help. Whatever name you knew him as (Larry, Butch, Dad, Pop Pop) everyone always knew "Larry can fix it."
Outside of work, Larry participated in a number of mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Haiti. In his down time he enjoyed motorcycle rides with Terri, and sports with his friends. He spent his younger years playing hockey with his friends from Bart's Blazers, after hockey he found volleyball and became a staple in the Pottstown Rumble staff complaints department. But by far his favorite way to spend time was being Pop Pop.
In addition to his father, Larry is lovingly remembered by his sons, Joshua Farman, husband of Molly, Aaron John Farman, husband of Morgan, and Derek Farman, husband of Mindy; his grandchildren, Caroline, Lucas, Gabrielle, Marshall, Hudson, Katherine, and Layla; and his sisters, Diane Thomas, wife of Randy, Penny Battisto, wife of Jerry, Trudi McLaughlin, wife of Shawn, and Traci Minnick, wife of Stephen Jr.
A celebration of life for both Larry and Terri will be held May 1, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunny High Farm, 1655 S. Hanover St., Pottstown, PA 19465. Larry and Terri's sons and their families have also invited everyone to stay after for a reception and celebration of life.
