Obituary of David S. Houck

David Scott Houck, 51, of Sanatoga, PA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 26, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maurcia DeLean (Klinger) Houck, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage.

Born in Berwick, PA, on June 25, 1969, David was the son of Richard L. Houck and the late Sandra (Lamoreaux) Houck.

Dave worked as an IT project manager for Eigen X in Radnor, PA, and was a faithful member of Hope Community Church in Gilbertsville, PA, for the last 6 ½ years. He was a den leader of Cub Scout Pack 146, where his son participated, and also served as an umpire for Pottsgrove Little League. He loved to be outdoors and especially enjoyed camping and kayaking.

Dave was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him!

In addition to his wife and father, Dave is survived by his daughter, Kendra (& Nathan) Lastoskie; his son, Justin Houck; his sister, Julie (& Chris) Berger; his cousin, Courtney Lamoreaux; and his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, Dave is predeceased by his brother, Richard Houck Jr.; his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Ellen Houck; and his maternal grandparents, Sanford and Beatrice Lamoreaux.

Visitation will take place on August 28, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Hope Community Church, 2732 N. Charlotte St., Gilbertsville, PA 19525. A Life Celebration will follow at 11:00 a.m. A time of fellowship and refreshments will be held following the service. The family asks that in memory of Dave, if possible, guests wear one of the following: Phillies shirt, Godzilla shirt, or a Simpsons shirt.
