Obituary of Pamela E. Carter-Butler

Pamela Elaine Carter-Butler, 64, of Pottstown, PA, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 11, 2021, at Pottstown Hospital – Tower Health. She was the beautiful wife of Brooke Linn Butler, with whom she shared 19 years of marriage.

Born in Pottstown, PA, on November 4, 1956, Pamela was the daughter of Dorothy (Carter) (& Leroy) Watson and the late Guy Porter.

Pamela was a graduate of Pottgrove High School, Class of 1976. She began working at Pennhurst Hospital following graduation before being hired by the U.S. Postal Service where she has been actively employed for the last 35 years. Along with her devotion to Christ and fiercely serving as the 1st Lady of Cornerstone of Prayer & Worship, Inc., Pam loved to write, sing and cook. She was excited by politics, loved watching CNN, Jeopardy and sports and was a stickler for education. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, most importantly, her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, mother, and stepfather, Pamela is lovingly remembered by her children, Kendria Renee Mitchell, Ryan Jay-Keith Butler, and Mercedes Jazzmine Butler; her grandchildren, Brayden Mitchell and Brooklyn Mitchell; her siblings, Larry Carter, Bobby Carter, Mark Carter, Sidney Carter, Keith (& Leticia) Carter, Guy Carter, Kim (& Gaby) Carter, Jay (& Rhonda) Carter, and Timothy (& Katarina) Carter; her aunt, Harriet Smith; her cousin, Deborah (& Jack) Marshall; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her father, Pamela is predeceased by her sister, Kelly Carter-Hernandez.

Services will be private for the immediate family, but a webcast of Pamela’s services will take place on January 18, 2021, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
