Oh sweet Dor,.
There really are no words to describe what a beautiful soul she was. I had the pleasure of caring for he the last few month and it definitely was a pleasure. I feel we were brought into each others life just when we needed it the most . We looked forward to seeing each other and laughing together , even a little arguing here and there . On my days off I would check in with my co workers to make sure she was doing ok . When I returned to work I would get a little heck for not being there the day before. Sharing pictures of my family with her, hearing stories of her friends and family , there was always something to look forward to! I think what really opened my eyes about the kind of woman Doreen was is when I explained I had no grandmother anymore and I missed that terribly. Her responses to me was I’ll be your grandmother, you can call me Nana Dor. From that moment on I knew anyone willing to open there heart to a complete stranger had to be a beautiful soul!
I wish I could have known Doreen longer, but I will be forever grateful for the impression she has left on my heart .
