Obituary of Margaret "Peggy" A. Keeley Evans

Margaret “Peggy” A. (Monville) Keeley Evans, 84, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019, at Parkhouse Providence Pointe. She was the wife of James Evans, with whom she shared 10 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, on June 16, 1935, Margaret was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Kern) Monville.

Peggy had a heart for missions and enjoyed traveling internationally, assisting missionaries.  She also loved to travel with friends across the United States. She enjoyed spending time with her family, particularly when grandchildren and great-grandchildren arrived.  She delighted in making and giving gifts, including knitting many items for family and friends. As a young widow, she worked with friends to start Chera Fellowship, a ministry for widows and single women. In later years, she enjoyed collecting lighthouses on her travels because they reminded her of Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

Peggy is survived by her children, Kim Golden, Allentown, PA; James Keeley, Jr., Pleasant Hope, MO; Timothy Keeley, Gilbertsville, PA; Patricia Davis, wife of Christopher, Schwenksville, PA; Pamela Rodriguez, wife of Marcus, New Port Richey, FL; and Peg Wildermuth, wife of John, Jr., Pottstown, PA; her sister, Sue Kuhn, Albrightsville, PA; her twenty grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her first husband of 25 years, James J. Keeley, Sr.; and her brother, Joseph Monville.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Valley Forge Baptist Church, 616 S. Trappe Rd., Collegeville, PA 19426.
