Obituary of Georgiann M. Schaeffer
Georgiann M. (Davidheiser) Schaeffer, 82, of Lower Pottsgrove, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Lankenau Medical Center. She was the wife of Raymond R. Schaeffer, with whom she would have celebrated 63 years of marriage this month.
Born in Pottstown, PA, on September 24, 1936, Georgiann was the daughter of the late George W. Davidheiser and Rose (Orlando) Davidheiser.
Georgiann graduated from Pottstown High School in 1955, beginning her career of more than thirty years as the Regional Manager for Queens Way to Fashion. After her time there, she became the Senior Division Manager for Jewels by Parklane where she worked for another twenty-two years. After retiring, Georgiann was able to spend more time focusing on the things she most enjoyed. She loved planting flowers in her garden each year, decorating the house, and baking desserts for her friends and family. While all of these hobbies were important to Georgiann, her most important and cherished role was being Nana to her entire family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Randy Schaeffer, husband of Teri, Gilbertsville, PA; Mark Schaeffer, husband of Walt, Glenmoore, PA; and Lori Wade, wife of Randy, Pottstown, PA; her grandchildren, Dr. Bradley Schaeffer and Katie Ann English, wife of Ian; two great-grandchildren, Zayden and Arabella English; and her sister-in-law, Jean Davidheiser.
She is predeceased by her brother, Richard Davidheiser.
