Obituary of Frank "Butch" Edward Evans
Frank Edward Evans "Butch", age 76, of Parkesburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Life Care Hospital of Chester County, surrounded by family and friends following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Rose (Murdoch) Evans for 43 years.
Born in West Chester, PA, he was a son of the late Frank V. Evans and Jean (Brown) Evans.
Frank worked as a motor coach detailer at Krapf's bus company before retiring in 1994.
He was also a life member of the Thorndale Fire Company, he was also a past member with the Parkesburg (Keystone Valley) and Unionville Fire Companies where he served with the Fire Police. Along with his wife he was a volunteer at the Coatesville Head Start Center for 10 years. He also volunteered at West Fallowfied Christian school on the hot lunch committee for 9 years. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and playing table games. He loved spending time with family, friends and was also expecting his third grandchild (Mason) in December.
Frank will always be remembered for his unconditional love for family, friends, his corny jokes, his drawings and spoiling the neighborhood dogs with treats.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one son Michael Evans his wife Dana of Gap, PA, brother Thomas Evans of Coatesville, PA, two Grandchildren Michaela Evans and Michael Evans, JR., one great grandchild Eva Jean Rhodes along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invite to attend Frank's memorial service 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Parkesburg Point, 700 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA 19365. Rev. Raymond Leslie will officiate. Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. prior to the memorial service at the Parkesburg Point.
