I worked with Helen for almost 9 years at the Pottstown Area Seniors' Center. She was always so independent and outgoing and eager to learn new things in her job, a trait not all seniors possess.
We spent a lot of time together, especially when we were the last ones at the Berean Church after everyone else had gone home
Helen was a beacon of hope for us when my wife Maureen developed breast cancer. She just kept saying take the Tamoxifen and everything will be ok. Maureen does and is so far
Helen was also friends with our son Stephen when he was a volunteer. She was always willing to listen to his suggestions on how to use technology to make work easier. Steve's real upset about this.
We will all miss Helen but know she had a long and ACTIVE life!!
Ps Thanks to Bonnie and Frank McKnight for their sponsorships of the golf outings.
