Obituary of Marvin Harner
Marvin R. Harner, 79, of Douglassville, PA passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Ludy) Harner with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.
Marvin was born October 2, 1937 in Pine Forge, PA. He was a son of the late William D. Harner, Sr. and Pearl A. (Schaeffer) Harner.
He was a member of the Pine Forge Sportsman Club and the Pike Township Sportsman Association for many years. He loved being outdoors hunting for deer, rabbits, and fishing. His passion was his sports teams, his favorite being the Detroit Tigers. He also liked the Eagles and Phillies getting to as many games as he could. He enjoyed the time he spent as a coach of the Junior Legion Baseball Team in Douglassville, PA

One Sister-In-Law: Thelma Harner, of Reading, PA

A viewing will take place on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 9-10:30 am at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St. Pottstown, PA 19464. A Life Celebration will take place following the viewing at 10:30 am. Internment will take place immediately following the service at Oley Cemetery.
