James Harold Faulkner Sr., 78, passed away surrounded by his family at his home in Sassamansville, PA, on January 3, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ellen (Palmieri) Faulkner, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, on September 27, 1943, Jim was the son of the late Harold L. Faulkner and Enes L. (DeGrandes) Faulkner.
James graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1961, and worked at Western Electric/Lucent Technologies for over 30 years. He served with the 73rd Aviation Co. US Army, and was in Vietnam from November 1968 to November 1969. He was a lifetime member of the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire company where he once served as President and under his administration, a new fire house was built. Because of this, in 1975 the Valley Forge Lions Club honored him as outstanding citizen of the year. In 1979 through 1981 he served as Commander of the American Legion Post 602 Spring City, Pa. After retiring he enjoyed going to auctions, fishing and antique cars. He loved spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Jim is lovingly remembered by his children, James H. (& Maureen) Faulkner Jr., Laurel A. (& Thomas) Misko, Steven M. (& Adrienne) Faulkner, and Barb (& Shayne) Garrison; his grandchildren, Joseph Misko, Kaitlin Faulkner, and Carly Faulkner; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his four brothers.

A Life Celebration will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Military honors will take place after the service.
