Lisa Ann Schmoyer

Lisa Ann (Schmitt) Schmoyer, 59, of Pottstown, PA, passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. She was the wife of Peter H. Schmoyer, with whom she shared 12 years of marriage.

Born in Chelmsford, MA, on May 30, 1962, Lisa was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Louise (Viles) Schmitt.

Lisa grew up athletically gifted and had softball aspirations of the highest level, going as far as travelling the country for the nation’s top tournaments with her team during her early adult years. During Lisa’s professional career she found a love of the YMCA, growing a passion for youth sports and helping raise children in sports to achieve athletic greatness which translated to her future career of sales and customer service. Though Lisa grew up around Philadelphia, PA, she moved to the Tampa, FL area to start a life with her new husband. They eventually moved back to be closer to family. Her love for the beach continued by returning to the tradition of spending time in Ocean City, NJ. Lisa's "Happy Place" was the shore, she created many wonderful memories with her family there. She loved to decorate, shop, bike and spent countless hours sunbathing and listening to the peaceful ocean waves. Lisa was a special and genuine woman who sacrificed her time loving and caring for those around her, especially her family. Lisa’s heart grew even larger when she became “Nan” to her four grandchildren for whom she was always available. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

In addition to her husband, Lisa is lovingly remembered by her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael (& Catherine “Becca”) Bateman and Joshua (& Danielle) Bateman; her grandchildren, JJ, Margaret, Royce, and Gabriella; her sister, Karen (& Larry) Trevette; her brothers, Bryan Schmitt, Eric (& Monika) Schmitt, and Allen Schmitt; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lisa is predeceased by her sister, Linda Schmitt.
