Ronald C. Rhinehart

Ronald Chester Rhinehart, 72, of Lower Pottsgrove Twp., PA, passed away on May 25, 2021, at Pottstown Hospital – Tower Health. He was the husband of Susanne (Snyder) Rhinehart, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.

Born in Pottstown, PA, on February 26, 1949, Ronald was the son of the late Theodore C. Rhinehart and Hazel (Hartenstein) Rhinehart Atkins.

Ron graduated from Owen J. Roberts High School and Bloomsburg University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in history. In 1982, Ron began working as an electrician and energy manager at The Hill School in Pottstown, PA, until his retirement in 2012. Ron enjoyed rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, and going to Penn State football games with his dear wife, Susie. He was also a Little League coach for over 10 years. Ron had a passion for music, which led him to play keyboard for multiple bands over the years, including Mickey & Friends, Risking Absurdity, and Alan Syms & Company. 

In addition to his wife, Ron is lovingly remembered by his son, Theodore “Ted” William Rhinehart, husband of Renee (Patrone) Rhinehart, Swedesboro, NJ; his sister, Carol Burkholder, wife of George, Leesport, PA; and many other friends, family, and bandmates.  

In addition to his parents, Ronald is predeceased by his sister, Virginia Rhinehart.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 29, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A Life Celebration will follow at 3:00 p.m.
