Michael D. Conley, 71, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on April 7, 2021, at Pottstown Hospital – Tower Health. He was the husband of the late Karen L. (Vanderslice) Conley, who passed in 2011.
Born in Baltimore, MD, on March 27, 1950, Michael was the son of the late Francis and Ruby (Beard) Conley.
Mike graduated from Pottsgrove High School and shortly thereafter, began his over 40-year career as a bus driver. He drove the local Pottstown bus and also drove school bus for D&D Collision Services. Mike volunteered for Sanatoga Fire Company, West End Fire Company, and Upper Pottsgrove Township Fire Company. Mike had a heart to serve others which allowed him to work as a nurse, chef, preacher, fire marshal, and carnival worker during different times in his life. When Mike wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time roller skating at Ringing Rocks Roller Company. Although his career was important to him, Mike’s most cherished memories came from spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, who will miss him deeply.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Shelley Conley, Kelley Heffner, Tonya Conley, and Kristina Conley; his sons, David Conley and Kenneth Conley; his grandchildren, Michael, Sterling, Desiree, Mikayla, Tabitha, Amelia, Russell, Savannah, and two other grandchildren; and his siblings, Gloria and Albert.
In addition to his wife and parents, Michael is predeceased by his daughter, Jessica Conley; and his sisters, Peggy and Rosann.
