Michael Brandon Tevis, 36, of Reading, PA, passed away on January 21, 2020, at Pottstown Hospital – Tower Health. Born in Phoenixville, PA, on April 17, 1983, Michael was the son of Michael R. Tevis and Carol (Hojnowski) Tevis. Michael loved basketball and football. He was an avid supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles and the 76ers. He also played basketball as a kid and was deemed the nickname “White Mike” because he played ball so well and had mad skills. He also had an affectionate side towards animals. His beloved dog Cleveland and Cailey the cat were regularly seen by his side with fierce loyalty. He enjoyed all genres of music and many a day was found blasting his favorite rap beats. Music was therapy to his soul. Michael was a free spirit, a loving son, a wonderful brother, and a very cool uncle. Michael had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone struggling. He didn’t believe in kicking a dog when they are down. He looked out for family and friends. He had a smile that was contagious and just had a knack for making someone laugh. Rest in peace Michael. Gone but not forgotten, we will love you forever. In addition to his father and mother, he is survived by his siblings, Shannon Tevis, John Tevis, and Sean Curtis; and his niece and nephew, Brianna and Aiden. Visitation will take place on Monday, January 27, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464.
