Obituary of Diane Soley

Diane L. Soley (Hafer), age 62, of Douglassville, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Robert Soley, with whom she shared 22 years of marriage.

Diane was born in Oley Valley, PA she was a daughter of Doris (Kline) Hafer of Pottstown and the late Eugene Hafer.

She graduated from Oley Valley High School. A very dedicated employee, she worked for 33 years as a waitress at Brookside Country Club, Pottstown, PA

Diane enjoyed spending time with her family, close friends, especially her grandchildren and at her home in Ocean City, MD. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends to many locations across the United States and the Caribbean. She enjoyed fine dining and cooking. Many refer to her as the “Casserole Queen”

Two Step Sons – Robert Soley, Jr. and his significant other, Jen Callahan of Stowe, PA

Sean Soley, and his wife, Danae Soley of Stowe, PA

One Step Daughter- Meghan (Soley) Hoffer, and her husband Sean Hoffer of East Greenville, PA

Two Brothers – Dennis Hafer, and his wife, Audrey Hafer of Bally, PA

Robert Hafer of PA

One Nephew – Deric Hafer, and his wife, Jennifer Hafer

Eight Grandchildren – Jada, Tyler, Jailyn, Kallie, Jordan, Ryan, Anthony, and Carter

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Marie Hafer.

A Life Celebration/viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Houck and Gofus Funeral Home, Inc. 955 North Charlotte St. Pottstown, PA 19464. Please come with a story of how Diane impacted your life. On Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 10-11 AM a viewing will be held before her life celebration which will take place at 11AM at the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Donald B. Eisenhauer will officiate.
